DWU ENBSA Students take part in mini Boubou

Sunday 29 of July 2013, saw the celebration of a mini Boubou ("thanksgiving" in motu) to raise fund for the incomplete Madang United Church Building. The DWU ENBSA students took part in the event by singing a a choir in their own mother tongue, as well as favorite gospels sung by Rabaul's very own unique voice Esau Togu. Students also had ,maintained a close relationship with their brothers and sisters from Madang Technical College who were also part of the celebrations. The event ended with most of them  walking back to school. Most of them are trully "tenawinawanas". Below are excerpts from the long day.

2nd DWU ENB Nite a success

It has been a week long of practice and hard work that got us all to a flying ENB nite, with much contemporary dances including traditional dances, singsings, drama, bands and a ceremony performed the tolai way for the Late Br. Andrew Simpson, whereby ENB students thank the staff and students who have helped to put Br. Andrews body to its final resting place. The night fell on the 6th of July, 2013 from 06:30pm to 9:30pm.

The night was hosted by Michael Arnold CA2 and Pauline Mago CA2 as well. DWU ENBSA President was very much happy that the program ran smoothly without any disturbances as there were alot of outsiders flooding in to DWU campus just to see the show.

The ENB Nite is a cultural fun night whereby the East new Britain Students of Divine Word University show case their culture, talents and way of life to the general public. It is a biannual event and the Association would like to make special mention of the East New Britain Kokopo MP Ereman ToBaining for his favoured contribution of K5,000 just to host that night and also to the general tolai community in and around Madang for their support and kind contributions. It was a night truly enjoyed the ENB way....
